This poster was a birthday gift to my nephew Spencer, but I thought it was a good example of a style I love executing, that blended well with major franchise characters. My favorite subjects to work on are things from my personal life and experiences. I watched Pokemon as a child, and now my nephew does the same, it does not get much more personal than that. I also have a fondness for giving my take on popular characters and storylines, something I plan to do more of in the future, hopefully opening doors to opportunities working on officially licensed merchandise.
